Keith Kelleher (click here for CV) is a post-doctoral researcher in Sascha du Lac’s lab at the Salk Institute. They are studying the vestibular system at the cellular level, using a combination of optogenetics and electrophysiology. He did his Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Houston on a combined experimental and computational endeavor with co-mentors Kresimir Josic and Peter Saggau. The project involved performing optical recordings from many dispersed locations across the dendrites of pyramidal neurons, and developing the analysis procedures for quantifying and interpolating the activity profile of the whole tree.
Claudia Alvarez-Baron is a post-doctoral researcher at UCSD. She’s going to expand on this when she has a moment.
